Well, As of late it seems more and more people have come down with "Bullmark Fever" . I figured this would be a good time to put down the airbrush and show off just a snapshot of what makes me tick :) Pictures to follow soon.

Everyone feel free to post your haves, wants,& needs regarding the mighty Bullmark !. I'm looking to gain from this thread some more knowledge of the toys ,etc.

Good Luck !

Two recent pickups.

Bob, that Gorosaurus is beautiful! The color of the vinyl on that toy, coupled with the funky texture of the sculpt is so damn good. Definitely one of the more brilliant Bullmark figures, in my opinion.

And that Gamakujira is a great sculpt, too. Is that a repro blank or did Bullmark actually release him that way back then? I definitely dig it: the lack of paint actually brings out the details of his sculpt pretty nicely. Watch out for your pearls!

That is my favorite Gorosaurus because of the color, Robins egg blue with just enough play-ware to expose the vinyl color on the high spots.  As best as I can tell the Gamakujira is an unpainted vintage piece, as is smells right and weight of the vinyl is right also.

"Watch out for your pearls!" ??????????????

Gamakujira (lit. "frog"+"whale") has a penchant for pearls. The monster had decimated the oyster beds in Tokyo Bay because of the tasty pearls to be found there. Science Patrol Officer Fuji cursed the monster; pearls are hard enough to save up for on a Science Patrol Officer's salary, but now the scarcity of pearls has forced the expense beyond all reason!

Thanks Alex, I wish I knew all the backstories for these guys.

I forget Alex . Is this on ultraman season 2 ? I know I've seen the episode.

Absolutely! It's funny how some Gorosaurus' colors are just right, and some are just not the same. I got one some time ago that actually had the original child owner's name written down the middle of his stomach in thick red marker! But y'know, the shade of blue was just SO perfect to my eyes, I couldn't resist him.
Each Ultra series has only one season. The story is episode 14, "The Pearl Oyster Defense Directive," and marked the first appearance of the Ultraman B-Type costume.

nice pick ups Bob .. fyi the flesh gamakujira is most likely from the 80s .. during that time someone using the Bullmark molds cast a bunch of figures in flesh .. also in black vinyl ... ;-)  still uncommon pieces ...
Hey Mark, Thanks for the background info, good to know.

Thought I would add my recent score. Thanks to Sanjeev for helping me out on this one. ;-)

Giant Jet Jaguar finally.

Wow, that JJ is amazing! What a score. And in the package no less - I know I would have a hard time keeping him that way.
