I've been big into little lead pewter gaming minis for a while. I've never been satisfied with my output, however. I can barely paint to 'tabletop' quality, and I'm not even close to pro levels.
I've just started taking to minis with my airbrush, and MK though. Still a learning curve, but I love the things I can achieve with MK, that I couldn't even dream of with hobby paints.
Anyone else painting minis with MK? I know Ben Mininberg has some great stuff up on his site.

Reaper Miniatures Brain Horror. All Monster Kolor. Pink, Vivid Pink and Orange. Minted, clear green. Firecracker pearl and the gloss coat were kinda overdoing it.
Dark Realm Miniatures Kraytonian Starships. MK Clover, Green Tea, and Lemonade undercoat, then an inkwash, and picked out details with hobby acrylic. The gloss is heavy-handed, but their ships for humanoid space lizards, so I though it was appropriate enough. The MK really makes them pop.

Permalink Reply by Seth Longmire on July 28, 2011 at 2:12pm Thanks all! I have a bunch of minis I I intend to airbrush. Actually I need to post one and get some feedback, I started it, and now I'm at a loss where to go with it.
Bryan - What's your gaming poison? I tend to buy rules and minis, but never actually play the games.
Permalink Reply by Bryan K Borgman on July 28, 2011 at 2:32pm I play & write for Rezolution & Warlands minis games and I created Kaiju Kaos. I buy a lot of Reaper Minis and do my minis casting thru Acheson Creations (metal and resin plastics). I just scored a deal with Darkson Designs for using AE-WWII minis in Kaiju Kaos and I've done a lot of gaming soundtracks for these games and more. I want to talk to you about some Kaiju Kaos stuff so check your PM/Friend Request. :)

I have a few of Aberrant's minis, but like most of my horde, they remain unpainted. Who did your Kaiju Kaos Sculpts?
Permalink Reply by Bryan K Borgman on July 28, 2011 at 6:43pm Yes, I've done soundtracks for: CyberNet RPG, The Chronicles of Ramlar RPG, Mecha Vs Kaiju RPG, Pulp City minis, Rezolution minis, Warlands minis, the Origins Award-nominated Universe87 Campaign Setting Soundtrack plus soundtracks for various comics and indie films.
Kaiju Kaos sculpts are done by the following guys: Bryan Steele of Ursa's Den (AnCon Annie, Vincent Malakov, Maser Cannon), Ian Hemmings of Fiendish Fabrications (Dr Kaos, Scarlet Huntress), Harry Coit (SMF Assault Rifle Trooper), Cline Siegenthaler (Kaos Monster, Gourdzilla, Son of Gourdzilla, People Eater, Subterranean Monster, and more), and John Vogel (Emperor Scorpion). A few others are working on some other hush-hush items as well. :)
Any chance you'll be at Gencon next week?
