I recently had the chance to try out Monster Kolor. The paints come prethinned in see-thru containers that are easy to open and removable stoppers for storing the paint after use. The paint mixes easily and sprays very well. The pigmentation is very vibrant, dense and covers very well. The paints have a nice matte finish and dry quickly. In particular I like the clear colors and metallics. The silver is bright with a very fine metallic flake while the gold is rich and deep with a heavy metallic flake. The pearl coat is subtle but very effective. The 2 part urethane gloss is AMAZING. One coat of the gloss will turn a matte finish into a glass like gloss coat that's hard as rock. hard to believe until you have actually tried it. I like the brand specializes in off the wall colors and effect paint (clear colors, metallics, pearls ect.) and new color are released on a regular basis. Overall I give the paint very high marks and will be a customer for a long time to come.

Thanks Robert ! Look forward to seeing more from you.

And that's how it starts and ends. It's all over for you now. It's all over but the cryin, paintin, and monthly color releases. Oh well...shit..at least you're in good company, right? Go MK! Woooo fknA!

Yeah, daniel, I just spent a good chunk of this weeks "allowance" on toys to paint. I find myself looking for kits to paint with MK in mind now. Never did that with Mr color or Testors.

Real glad to have you aboard, Robert. You will find us all extremely chilly chill around these here parts. Sure we are vicious toy painters and snarky collectors, but the painting keeps us sorta beat and humbled as we fight our own creative daemons. I empathize with you on your "allowance" and acclimation to MK. It will mess with you for awhile as you get used to looking at models and kits with a huge, almost uncontrollable, newfound passion. It cant be stopped nor helped. I know. God do I know: my work station is a testament to the affliction. Not only Japanese vinyl, but Japanese models and garage kits and sculpts by American resin hounds and freaks of plasticine and fiberglass. When you see what vivitone pink does to a Sherman tank...dude, I was reborn! When I come back from the hobby store with a few new high-grade tanks or jet fighters to build up or kitbash, I am fkn dangerous to be around. I become a 40something 13 year old: focused on toys and titties, and not much more.
Welcome to the MK "klan"...the MKK as it were, and enjoy your stay. You are where you belong, brother. Welcome home...to the island of misfit toys. The weather is always great here, and the villagers are the best the planet has to offer.
