Hello to my brothers of the mighty MK Forum! I am super stoked to announce I am sending off my first piece to be made into J-Vinyl!. Here are a couple of pics of the resin prototype. Hope you guys dig him.

What does this toy gain from being made in vinyl?  It looks awesome in resin, as do your other figures.  Have the other ones even gone up for sale yet?  This just seems like it might be a premature move, and is the kind of major move not to be taken lightly.  Just because you might find funding on Kickstarter doesn't mean that you'll then be able to push this guy once he's produced.  He's perfectly cool as is, but moving into vinyl just adds levels of cost, planning, expectation, and hassle that might surprise you.   I don't want to come off as crass, but I definitely see people with poorly planned ideas rushing to Kickstarter because they can get cash quick, and I would hate to see you overextend when I think the stuff you are currently working on is cool as is.
Hey Ben, first thanks for the kind words. Kickstarter or not this guy is getting made in vinyl. I have been designing him for quite sometime now and I am realizing a dream. If they sell awesome, if they don't I still will be happy because I will have done something that has been wanting to get out for some time now. Also I will have a bunch of cool ass monsters to play with my kids.  Resin is awesome and I love experimenting with it, so why not experiment with vinyl as well? I am not doing any of my art for the money, I am creating things that I like and if other people like them then that is just a bonus. Life is a valuable gift that goes by way to fast to have regrets later on. Any hope this helps you understand where I am coming from.
Well said Butch! It's good to see more people creating toys for themselves :)

People say to me "What happens if your toys don't sell??" my reply is "I have a room full of sweet toys I designed!!!!"

One thing I have to say, is it necessary to make the arms separate pieces? From the image, they seem to be quite straight and I don't see a reason why you would want to move them around. If its for manufacturing purposes, it may be possible to do something else to reduce the amount or parts? Saving some of the cost.

I can't wait to see this dude in a variety of colours!! Best of luck! I am going to get one for sure :)
I actually have a few different arms I am still playing with. The way the material is pulled out of the mold they need to be separate. I'll keep you guys updated though for sure.
