DOGU statue. Jorom people. Very early Japan - 5,000 B.C. . It is not a "1/1" farfetched artistic leaning nor single sculpted artpiece. There are 100's that have been found. all similarly creepy.
What is Kaiju? What does it truly represent? Is it merely an internal dialogue with few real counterparts in the "real" world around us, or is it something more. I think it may turn out to be something more than just an internal dialogue and more than just a useful flexing of our imaginations. We are foolish to think we are the only monster here and that only we have the power to create them through our fertile imaginations. So what is Kaiju? There are scores of wild examples, none of them made of vinyl and all exist in museums and personal collections. I could show you more examples, but what fun would that be. Just like attempting to secure a much wanted vinyl sculpt you have been after for months: the real fun lies in the search and not the score.
