a couple years ago i freed my collection from their detolf prisons. for me at least, i felt like i was living in a retail store. so i set them free to play among the paintings, sculptures, prints and ephemera that is my home. now that they are placed in contrast to other widely accepted artforms, nobody questions whether it is art anymore, and nobody thinks they are "just toys"; it is apparent to all now that they are heavy art indeed, and i dont even have to leave my explanatory kaiju books out anymore to help support my case. i'm pleased and the art has never looked better. except for the occasional dusting, which i have learned to enjoy, its nice to have them set free.
