Oh yes. I would jump at the chance, and you know it. I am down to put the headphones on and kill palettes on it. It screams for a rub in colorwheel polar opposites: occult "flashing tablet" ..it's my new infection, and it took months to work out all the kinks and get the hand mix right; when even toned, the colors shake and "flash" where they meet. It's hard on the eyeholes, but that's the whole point. Complete disorientation and ocular vertigo.
Like I said, when I boor on the scene, I sharpen my knife..I wait for a good kill.
Speaking of a good kill, I am on my way to see Amy at lululand for some predatory toy behavior right after a spliff and a pancake or 4. Or is that 4 spliffs and only 1 pancake? Muahahahaha! It's my paintin' juice my brother. No secret there.
I am real proud of you Mike. Making these toys we paint is no joke. It ain't easy and I welcome anyone to find out just how involved it can get. After painting toys for awhile, the desire becomes overwhelming to make one, or fail trying. People that solely collect will never fully get it..what it takes to turn a plastic toy into "vinyl." ...and in my worthless opinion, the weight lay on the paint side of the spectrum. It is the time taken by artists to paint interesting and thought provoking toys that makes these what they are. Sorry, but that's how I see it. Without the artists, these are nothing more than absurdly overpriced plastic toys. Yes, I said plastic. Vinyl is just a word. Vinyl is a petrochemical based plastic and nothing more. After it is put into a pleasing shape and painted by an artist...then and only then is it vinyl. And only to us. To all non sceners - - it's still and always will be only plastic. If they are ever able to see them as art, it will be because of the painters. It is only because of the recent artists that these objects now have real value. Prior to the painting scene of recent years, all people were doing is hoarding and shelving toys..arguing and name calling. Fk that. Not for me thank you. I am not going to treat these toys like a spoon collection or a damn Elvis plate on some old ladies wall. Ain't gonna happen. I paint and I collect both pre paints runs from the majors and 1 offs from fellow painters. If I had to give up one? Prepaints. Any damn day.

Thank you Daniel! One of my struggles during the design process was making sure the final sculpt did justice to the actual drawings. This was a long winded battle and so I decided to get some help. Thanks to Jon at Rampage toys he saw the vision and was able to do justice to the drawing. But also during that time another big struggle was making sure it was unique and original..its such a tough scene to break into and come out with something you love because there is so many designs that look like other designs. This is something that I think is almost near impossible to do to perfection..most likely there has been in the far far past a design similar to this or somewhat exact..but in the end it really doesnt matter to me because I have this want to create and make art just like most people on this board. All that to say is go out and paint some toys and create what you love! It seems like most of us painters get a bad wrap for painting other peoples toys..there is most likely a hundred reasons someone who dislikes customizers would say so..forget them! who cares! Do what you love!!

Daniel and Topheroy you guys are amazing customizers and amazing painters!! Keep doing what you love! @daniel i think you should hold off on buying some right now ;) I think a future papierdaniel release will be in the works.

First I will expose my conflict of interest: Michael(blurble)is my bro, an exceptional guy, and a very solid artist. No sheeit. Even if I didn't know the dude, I would still be on these. Why? Because as a collector, I am fkn boored to death. If you were to just start up a collection..well gee sparky, I'd bet you'd be thrilled. But if you've been collecting for many years, like myself, you may be a bit fkn tired of seeing the constant re-hashing. And as Topheroy has so subtly pointed out...far too many people "bite" style; and we ain't talkin just a wee nibble..no sir...we are talking big fat mouthfuls. This is weak and it waters down the scene. Not to mention that it fully kills the spirit of long-time collectors who start to see only capitalistic greed with no real creativity behind it. And that's collecting.
Painting? That's different. I don't get boored. When it gets soft, I sharpen my knife, I get lit and work palette, I mash and model, I paint old sculpts...and I wait for shit like this. Because I didn't jump at just any "bitten" sculpt, When these drop I will be able to purchase a few of these to paint-up. Right Michael? hint..hint..

I like several things about this, but the thing i like most is the fact that it feels totally original. Really great job on not biting from others. The white with the rub is my favorite...i think, hard to pick, great colors.
