this is so good, i couldnt resist using it as this weeks screensaver. its just a perfect example of why our vinyl gets painted, and it definately shows the difference between a custom and a prepaint. both have their place because both influence eachother equally. most new prepaints are lifted from good custom palattes and toned way down to make it easier on the painter and the collectors wallet(hopefully..theoretically). and most customs, even though pumped up and new, completely have their taproot deep in prior kick-ass prepainted runs. this is a great group photo and shows the length an artist can go to to paint a toy to the point it is obviously art first, and a toy second. a great toy. photo also shows that mvh roooooles and ollie is fkn huge. huge. big enough to beat up on all your toys if they pick on him for being "pinked."

i would shelf any of these toys, and all my peeps feel the same. great work. i dont know any collector who wouldnt want em - because a well painted toy has a way of making all the toys next to it look even better. any of these would jack up a shelf in a big way.

beautiful. i've been on a pink, silver, and black bender all month myself. i think its so interesting that people can use the same colors on the same sculpts even, yet the end reult depends primarily on something intangeable: style. hard to develop your own style, but it feels even better than it looks when you finally manage to develop it. you definately have a style peculiar to your own awareness of the artform and its designs. that rules balls. it takes a gentle persistence to devolop your teeth and keep em sharp. ya gots some sharp teeth if ya can throw pink around and keep it clean and tough looking. this woo is one of the best i've seen, and far better than any pre-painted woo that was dropped. like waaay better..not even close. i like your style, and you seem to be painting these toys as i do - - with a respectful eye on the past, but with little to no intention of retracing someone elses first timid steps into the artform at a time when it was little more than the produkt of retail bottomline endeavors. you are treating it like the artform it has now become, and not what it used to be. its easy to revisit the kaiju past..set a timer for less than a minute and paint them all the same so they can get sold as fast as possible to people who are comfortable thinking and being the same. meh...i think(know) these designs deserve a bit more.
