B-Club 1/75 Zaku II Kai

1/75 scale B-Club vinyl mecha kit from Gundam 0080. Painted green with Monster Kolor, then painted with acrylics for the desert camo. I used alcohol to weather the desert scheme back down to the 'factory' green, since alcohol doesn't affect MK sealer.

It is gnarly isn't it Matt. Its cover of a modeler magazine worthy type work. And I do believe you speak the truth.. I think it's more detailed towards militaristic realism than Wood's finishes. Not just in areas like the shoulders, helmet, and torso; but everywhere. The torso is nuts though and looks beyond realistic: it looks metal for real. And notice how his rust and weathering adheres to the laws of gravity as it follows the logical path downward. FknA right- o. Rust stains do come from slowly dripping, standing, and condensating water drops...and dirty water runs dawn ward. He is real real real good at this. Technique and the imagination side both equally. Very impressive. The old dudes(70's) that I showed it to were amazed at the paint..just blown away, but they are of a distant generation..."looks like goddamn Satan crossed with a German tank!"

Tough. Hell yes realism. I know a few old timers, railroad realists and tank builder dudes that would love this. Ima show it to em. Straight giving Ashley Wood a run for the flag. Really trick work Ben. The rust-work is as good as it gets.
