palatte thief

yes, its all true. i am a palatte thief. i have absolutely no shame either. flora, fauna, micro organisms, the whole macrocosm, hard candies, and thanks to my exgirlfriends father being so effin smart - - i can now add ooooold world handcrafted marbles. and i thought hard candy upped my game? no way. marbles are turning me inside out. i got new palattes coming out my pores. you dont need to borrow other peoples palattes when the world has given you no limits at all on its own. where do you find your palattes in the world? i'm always looking for fresh angles.

Just looked over all the images you posted. You should totally wrap this into a new thread for palette thieving!

here you go matt. you tell me what you think. personally, marbles are just the bees knees as a palatte helping tool. i have no idea how i overlooked them, but i am glad i did. because now i am positive that there is so much more out there i am overlooking. endless inspiration when the world is your tutor. marbles...man, who knew?

candy changed a lot for me. even more than my trips to the zoo - which were awesome. but damn..this antique marble thing is proving to be unreal inspirational. i picked up a book 2days ago that is nothing but exquisite photos of rare old handmade marbles. the colors and color pairings used are not accidental..many of these guys were legendary artisans and had sicko knowledge of the colorwheel and its applications in color theory and design. marbles. who knew? i'll post a pic matt, of one i used last night to pull some colors out of. you will be amazed at this thing. it is totally mk in spirit.

So true ! there is a whole slew of color awesomeness in this picture. This is what can really make a piece stand out from the rest. I look at candy under water for different shades but usually eat the reference :0
