Where to buy an Iwata body?

Started this discussion. Last reply by Jack Fields Nov 8, 2011. 5 Replies

I now face the painter's nightmare, in that I lost the body for my Iwata Kustom CS. Google searches seem unable to turn up a place to get just the body. Any tips?

By which I mean, when are you going to talk to us about your Jumbos, Matt? Flaunt it!

Question about needle/nozzle sizes.

"Sorry to belabor the point, Matt, but why not? If the heat is a problem, then why wouldn't cooling the activator help?"

"If I got a separate refrigerator, would that help preserve the life of my activator? Would it help with paint storage?"

"So is the universal thinner appropriate for the activator, or does your statement stand that it has gone bad? If the heat is a culprit, I guess I'll refrigerate future batches."

"Any suggestions on clear coat storage? I keep my clear and activator in a sealed bag, and the sealed bag within an airtight container. I checked my activator this morning, and it is now a very hard gel. In the past I've thinned it with acetone,…"

" The tinsle is a much brighter and slightly bigger flake in it than the regular "silver".  Bell Gold is a mix of a bright silver with a brighter gold mixed. It looks a bit "brassy""

I'm especially curious about the new silver and gold. How do they compare to the old silver and gold? The old gold looks good, but I always felt that it looked a little bronze-like.See More

"I'm used to having the clear sputter out of my .35 gun. I'm going to get a new cheapie just for clears. I'm looking at .5 or 1.3. Has anyone tried the clears with 1.3? Is that too big a nozzle size?"

"Whoa. Clears in a can? I'm switching over as soon as I finish my supply (and can get a new airbrush). I was going to get a whole separate gun with a wider nozzle just for clears, but I guess I don't need to anymore."

"That would be my idea... It may be better to just bite the bullet and buy a decentbrush. Maybe stalk the ebay for a deal. I love my iwata.  "
