Welcome to the world wide headquarters for Monster Kolor. This interactive community is a place for all who are interested in the custom painting of toys of all kinds. Feel free to look around, but I encourage you to join in.
Thank you for the welcome . look forward to trying out my new paints , also do you have any more of the artist series available . and if not when will you be dropping another series.. you got a customer for LIFE
No no, thank YOU. This site has been a great resource to me and I love your paint. I am actually about to use it to finish off a batch of resin cast puppet heads to be sold at the Mad Monster Party convention in a few weeks-so I will probably be on here comparing notes with you all weekend!
happy birthday to MK, and a big thanks to matt and everybody at MK for putting this fine paint in my mitts. i have had to force some discretion on its use so my entire collection isn't rendered into shelves of custom "one offs"; not even my models are safe from getting tuned by the MK system...even if it may only be a thin coat of your outstanding clear finish over hints of various pearls. MK is exactly what the scene needed at exactly the right time; some kolor and some klass. well done.
Thanks Matt. I am looking forward to picking up some monster kolor soon. I am designing a monster who I plan on having produced in Japan. I'll post pics here as I progress. This is a great place to keep me pumped! Take care
hi Matt, what can i say... i'm not collecting kaiju since long time, i'm starting to collect matango ( it's one of my favorite with many others but i love very much matango, the movie are excellent)
i love collect : tiki mugs, ventriloquist dolls, finks and kaiju
since my enfance i got a real passion for movie monsters, vintage science fiction movies, bmovie and russ meyer movie ( of course)... when i discovered kaiju i be crazy . in kaiju this is all what i love : monster, a little bit of vintage style, colors etc...
in art i love very much the works of todd schorr, ryan heshka, dave burke and more.. ( for info : very soon a martian fink ceramiq mug will be available it's a collaboration: dave burke/munktiki )
at the moment i'm learning the sculpture and modeling , i want to make kaijus, i got somes ideas that i want to realized.
i hope you 'll know a little bit more about me. it's difficult for me because my english are not very very good!!
glad to be aboard. been hoarding japanese vinyl ever since i touched my first modernkaiju headercard, held the vinyl and really saw what was being done...and how unique it all was. i had to have more, but more important i wanted to know more; i was not and have not been let down yet. so i've been hooked hard from the get go..threw down 1offs here and there over the years.. but i've only began to use mk in the last few months. amazingly hooked harder than hard. the things this paint can do - it's just crazy. after i relaxed and just went all "hey, let's see what happens when you..." i started to figure stuff out naturally and haven't stopped yet. layerings..patience..man the pearls and clear are amazing, and the flouresced colors...sick when popped on white with a healthy doses of clearcoat to just kill. what freakin fun. i could not be more stoked or feel any better about collecting. excatly what i needed.
Thanks for the welcome, Matt! I'm likin' the new postier site. In fact, I was moved to join on seeing the Daybreak of the Kaiju vid. Unfortunately I'll have to post commentary later as I've got a million things to do tonight that won't wait.
