these machinders are siiiick. i am not a star wars guy, but that trooper rules on any shelf. i wanted a shogun so bad as a wee kid i could taste it. never happened so i bought one in college. even as an adult that is one big-ass toy...but as a kid? dude, it musta been like having a violent robot friend to hang with. whoever was lucky enough to have played with these in childhood should be proud. maybe in japan this toy didnt look strange, but here in the u.s. early mid 70's this toy was a freakshow. insane. every kid i knew wanted one.
